CMS Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election 2015

The CMS Executive is inviting all CMS members and meeting participants to join them at the AGM for an informal luncheon to focus on what was achieved in 2014. There will be a short presentation followed by questions and answers. This is an opportunity for participants to get together with the CMS Executive and discuss emerging issues as well as directly voice their opinions, concerns and interests.

The CMS will hold the 2015 Election at the June AGM. Updated information will be periodically e-mailed to members and posted on the CMS website at: cms.math.ca/Elections/2015

*Banquet attendees will be invited to join Nelson Education for a hosted reception with cocktails and accompanying hors d’oeuvres as we honour the late James Stewart, celebrated mathematician and textbook author.

Note: Shuttle buses depart from the Best Western Charlottetown and UPEI at 18:15.

The Canadian Mathematical Society invites you to the awards banquet to highlight exceptional performance in the area of mathematical research and education. Prizes will be awarded during the event.

Your meal and transportation are included in the ticket price of $70.

Guests will pre-select the 1lb Lobster, Chicken Supreme, or Vegetarian Stir-fry for their main course. The meal will also consist of rolls and bread, mussels, seafood chowder, soup of the day, salad plate; consisting of homemade potato salad, coleslaw, tossed salad, desserts, tea, coffee, sodas and juice. A complimentary glass of beer or wine will be provided with the dinner service.

Situated on River Clyde, New Glasgow Lobster Suppers is the Original PEI Lobster Suppers. This third generation family restaurant offers lobster served straight from their on site lobster pound, holding upwards of 20,000 lbs where a continuous flow of frigid salt water ensures the quality of your meal.
