Funding Support
Grants are available to partially fund travel and accommodation cost. A portion of these funds are designated for speakers and presenters (including vignettes), graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows, but there are also funds available for teachers and university and college faculty. These funds have been made available thanks to the support and generosity of The Fields Institute, the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences, the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques and the Statistical Society of Canada. To apply for funding, please complete the online application form (hosted by The Fields Institute) before April 15th.

Applicants will be notified in late April of the funding decision. If successful, the recipient will receive a cheque for reimbursement of expenses after the meeting and upon completion and submission of the standard Travel Expense Claim Form, along with appropriate original receipts.

Application Form - Please click here to access the online application. All those who submitted applications will hear from the Fields Institute in late April .

If you are a teacher (in an elementary or high school) we ask you to seek additional support from your local school board to defray the costs of your registration and travel to Ottawa. If you would like an official letter of invitation to assist in this process please write to Peter Taylor (peter.taylor@queensu.ca) with the name of your school, the name of your school board, and your purpose in attending the conference (e.g. the title of your vignette or ad hoc presentation, or your particular area of expertise). Peter will then e-mail you a pdf letter confirming your invitation to attend 2014 CMEF. Such letters are also available for university and college faculty if needed.
