Welcome to the Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS), the national voice of mathematics in Canada.

In a world driven by scientific discoveries, a CMS membership can be a chance to access professional development and networking opportunities; support and participate in national and international research, and in educational initiatives; and support the development of mathematics in Canada.

Why become a CMS member?

Since 1945 the CMS has been serving the Canadian mathematics community. Today, the CMS strives to promote the advancement, discovery, learning and application of mathematics and our programs reach across Canada. Just do the math:

By becoming a CMS member -- whether individual, institutional or corporate -- you are making a real difference to mathematics in Canada: high school students experience the fun and creative side of math; graduate students have the opportunity to present their work for the first time at a CMS meeting; researchers showcase their discoveries in CMS journals; math educators share best practices; and the Canadian voice of mathematics is heard here and abroad. You also benefit directly as a CMS member, not only from the programs themselves, but also by adding strength to the national voice of Canadian mathematics.

Join the CMS today!

The success of the CMS would not be possible without the support of our 1,100+ members and all the many volunteers who generously give their time to the CMS and the Canadian mathematics community.
