AARMS-CMS Student Poster Session

Students are encouraged to present a poster with a topic of their choice on Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4. To register for the poster session, the on-line form has to be completed no later than April 30. Setup will take place on Thursday afternoon, starting at 3:00 pm, and on Friday morning. Presenters are asked to remain at their posters during judging on Friday. A prize is awarded to the best poster presenter at the banquet on June 3; each participant will receive a complimentary ticket to the banquet.

Student Social

All students are invited to joint the CMS Student Committee for their Student Social.
The Social is Free Glow in the dark mini gold at the Putt 'N Glow at West Edmonton Mall (flyers will be included in the registration envelopes of student participants who register for the meeting by May 15). The group will meet at 7:40 pm at the Tim Horton's in the Lister Center for free group taxis to the West Edmonton Mall, or at Put’N’Glow in the West Edmonton Mall at 8:00 pm.

Student Travel Support

With the support of CRM, the Fields Institute, MITACS and PIMS, grants are available to partially fund the travel and accommodation costs for bona fide graduate students at a Canadian or other university. Preference is given to Canadian students. To apply for this funding, applicants should submit a letter written by their supervisor or departmental graduate advisor, providing the following: name of student, area of study and level, how the student will benefit from the meeting, whether or not the student be speaking, and what support is available from other sources.

This letter should be sent before April 15 to Travel Support. Applicants will be notified early in May of the funding decision.

If successful, the student will receive a cheque for reimbursement of expenses after the meeting and upon completion and submission of the standard Travel Expense Claim Form, along with appropriate original receipts.
