Teaching Geometry Effectively with Dynamic Software / Enseigner la géométrie de manière effective avec des logiciels dynamiques
[PDF]

This workshop will focus on the effective teaching of geometry with pre-constructed dynamic geometry sketches. Recent research results indicate that it is necessary to explicitly emphasize visual interpretation and exploration skills, and to provide focused task questions in order for students to benefit fully from their experiences with pre-constructed dynamic geometry sketches. The group will discuss these issues in light of examples created with interactive geometry software, specifically with Geometer's Sketchpad and with Cinderella.
