POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN MATHEMATICAL BIOLOGY

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral fellowship in Mathematical Biology at McMaster University. This position will be available from July 1, 2000. Candidates with interests in any mathematical or computational aspect of theoretical biology are encouraged to apply, though preference may be given to individuals whose research interests involve ecological, epidemiological or evolutionary modelling.

This fellowship provides an opportunity to spend up to two years engaged in research in mathematical biology, with a limited amount of teaching (one course per semester). Suitable candidates may have a PhD in Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Computer Science or another scientific field. The primary requirements are experience in mathematical modelling and research interests in theoretical biology.

The fellowship is open to candidates of any nationality and selection will be based upon the candidate's research potential. The Fellow will receive a stipend of $34,000/year plus a grant of $2,000/year for research expenses.
