Postdoctoral Position in Communication Networks
at the University of Saskatchewan
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Communication Networks beginning as soon as possible. This position is part of the project ''Complex Adaptive Networks for Computing and Communication'' (CANCCOM) of the Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems (MITACS) Network of Centres of Excellence. The successful candidate will have opportunities for collaboration with researchers from Nortel Networks and Carleton University. This position is for one year with the possibility of renewal and is subject to availability of funds.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, System Science or related discipline and proven ability or potential for excellent research. Experience in the following areas are essential: stochastic modelling, simulation and communication networks. Experience with the following areas is an asset: fuzzy logic control, neural networks and artificial intelligence. Candidates should have working knowledge with programming in C or C++ and should generally be computationally adept.
