Faust et Paulson définissent l'apprentissage actif comme « toute activité d’apprentissage dans laquelle s’engage un étudiant en classe, autre qu’une écoute passive du cours donné par l’enseignant ». Dans un nombre croissant de cours de mathématiques de niveau postsecondaire au Canada, la pédagogie active devient progressivement une nouvelle norme. La classe inversée, l'exploration par ordinateur, l’utilisation de télévoteurs, de jeux, d’applets, la pédagogie de projet, l'apprentissage par problèmes, du travail d’équipe en classe, des évaluations par les pairs représentent quelques-unes des techniques de pédagogie active qui font désormais partie de l'environnement d'apprentissage contemporain. Cette session aura pour objectif principal de donner l'occasion aux participants de partager leurs propres essais, succès et ratés dans l’intégration d’une pédagogie active, ainsi que les stratégies et conditions qu’ils en ont dégagées. Nous commencerons la discussion avec de courtes présentations par France Caron de l'Université de Montréal et Veselin Jungic de l'Université Simon Fraser. | |

Le comité étudiant de la Société mathématique du Canada (Studc SMC) invitent les étudiants (au premier cycle ou gradués) à présenter une conférence sur le sujet de leur choix, le 7 décembre 2015, dans la session Exposés de recherche d’étudiants, qui aura lieu lors de la Réunion d'hiver de la SMC 2015 à Montréal, Québec.
Ces exposés permettent de présenter la recherche effectuée par l'étudiant à un large public mathématique. Si le présenteur le désir, un mentor expérimenté sera disponible pour lui donner une rétroaction sur sa conférence. Pour toutes questions concernant la session d’édudiants, veuillez contacter les organisateurs, Svenja Huntemann et Muhammad Khan, à studc-hiver15-session@cms.math.ca. Pour vous inscrire à la session, contactez les organisateurs avec un brouillon du résumé avant le 25 septembre. Avis d'acceptation sera donnée avant le 28 septembre.
