Real hypersurfaces in complex space forms

We consider hypersurfaces immersed in a complex projective space ${\bf
C}P^n$ or complex hyperbolic space ${\bf C}H^n$--the space forms of nonzero constant holomorphic sectional curvature. We are interested in characterizing certain standard examples (e.g. the homogeneous ones) in terms of intrinsic and extrinsic geometrical properties. Recent results and open problems in this area will be discussed.
