CMS Town Hall Meeting
Sunday, December 4, 13:00 - 14:30
Great Room B
The CMS Town Hall meeting will occur on Sunday, December 4, from 13:00 - 14:30. All CMS members and meeting participants are invited to join the CMS Executive to engage on upcoming plans and to discuss any interests or concerns that members of our community may have. A light lunch will be provided.
Unlike the CMS' AGM that focuses on what was achieved last year, this meeting focuses on what lies ahead. There will be a short presentation followed by questions and answers. This is an opportunity for participants to get together with the CMS Executive and discuss emerging issues as well as directly voice their opinions, concerns and interests.

NSERC and MITACS maintain several programs that build connections between academics and industry. These include ENGAGE, CONNECT, CRD and others, in which researchers can apply their skills to real world problems, and may find industrial problems a stimulus for new research questions. Researchers can improve their students' communications skills through programs like CREATE, or give them experience applying their knowledge through internship programs like ACCELERATE. A panel of faculty who have successfully used some of these programs will be present to share their experiences, and to answer questions about how we can best use these programs. A light lunch will be provided.
Meet other women mathematicians, participate in a panel discussion, and enjoy lunch together.
Our panelists are to be announced
This event is hosted by the CMS Women in Mathematics Committee and is open to all women registered in the conference. There is no charge and no preregistration is required.
