2019 CMS Summer Meeting, Regina, SK, June 7-10
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) invites the mathematical community to the 2019 CMS Summer Meeting in Regina, Saskatchewan from June 7-10.
Four days of awards, mini courses, prize lectures, plenary speakers, and scientific sessions.
All meeting activities are taking place at the University of Regina and the Hotel Saskatchewan. Click here for details regarding locations and shuttles.
The Women in Mathematics Committee and the University of Regina’s Faculty of Science will be hosting a Luncheon with a panel and discussion on Equity and Diversity in Mathematics Luncheon from 12pm to 1:30pm on Saturday June 8th.
In May 1976, the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations entered into a federation agreement with the University of Regina, to establish the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College (SIFC). The Agreement provided for an independently administered university-college, the mission of which is to serve the academic, cultural and spiritual needs of First Nations’ students. On June 21, 2003, the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College officially changed its name to the First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv).
Come view one of the three campuses of First Nations University, which was designed by world renowned indigenous architect Douglas Cardinal, who also designed the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Quebec. You will get to see the Atrium, the large Veterans Memorial Tipi, the vision painting, time capsule and art gallery.
The guided tour is complimentary for CMS Summer Meeting attendees and will be accompanied by the VP of Academics to answer any questions.
Delegates are asked to meet at the Registration/Coffee Break area at 1:20pm and will then be guided over to the university for the tour.

The Registration Deadline was May 20, 2019 at 23:59. Registration will be available onsite from Friday June 7th to Monday June 10th.
CMS invites all speakers to submit an abstract for their session or contributed paper.
With the support of the University of Regina, CRM, the Fields Institute, and PIMS grants are available to partially fund the travel and accommodation costs for bona fide graduate students at a Canadian or other university and CMS student members. Deadline: April 30
