The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Mount Allison University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Mathematics. The position is at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor with an expected start date of July 1, 2012, subject to budgetary approval.
Mount Allison is a top-ranked Canadian undergraduate university. Our faculty are expected to maintain an independent research program and to provide high quality undergraduate teaching.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics. Strong preference will be given to candidates in Algebra, Analysis or a closely related area. Candidates should provide evidence of a research program that will attract external funding and evidence of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
An application should include a curriculum vitae, teaching and research statements and at least three letters of reference, at least one of which should address the candidate's teaching. Applications should be made via mathjobs.org. Review of applications will start January 9, 2012.
