Memorial University of Newfoundland invites applications for the position of Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The Headship is for a renewable three-year term and is to be filled at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

The Department includes more than 40 full-time faculty with diverse and active research programs and is also very active in teaching. The undergraduate program typically has 100 undergraduate majors and 6500 total course registrations. About 70 graduate students are enrolled in our M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs.

The appointed Head will provide an active leadership role in the continued growth and development of the Department. Beyond a strong record of research and teaching, applicants should have an excellent record of administrative experience and leadership appropriate to this role. They should also possess superior communication and interpersonal skills.
