STATISTICS POSITION

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a probationary tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Applied Statistics, starting July 1, 2006.

Applicants should have a PhD in Statistics or related areas and a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching.

The Department offers an innovative and unique undergraduate Mathematics program called MICA (Mathematics Integrated with Computers and Applications) and is launching a new M.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics starting September 2006. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong, externally funded research program, supervise students and teach undergraduate and graduate courses.

The review of applications will begin on January 15, 2006 and continue until the position is filled. The appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.
