POSITION AT BROCK UNIVERSITY
DISCRETE MATHEMATICS OR RELATED AREA

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a probationary tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Discrete Mathematics or a related area. Applicants from other areas of mathematics that intersect with computer science will also be considered. The position is subject to budgetary approval and is to begin July 1, 2002. The successful candidate must have completed a Ph.D. and have demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in research and teaching. The Department of Mathematics is committed to active research and has recently developed a truly unique and innovative undergraduate program, called MICA, which fully integrates computers into the learning and application of mathematics. The ideal candidate will have computer and programming expertise, a strong interest in using technology in the classroom, a willingness to be involved with mathematics courses for computer science students, and a research program likely to attract external funding.
