    Twelve-Month Term Position

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Winnipeg invites applications for a twelve-month term position in Mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics and an active research program. Individuals with expertise in any area of pure mathematics are invited to apply. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in combinatorics, representation theory or functional analysis.

The successful candidate will teach six classes at the first and second-year levels and will contribute to departmental and university service. Candidates will have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and a demonstrated ability to work well with colleagues and students. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The selection committee will begin reviewing applications on March 2, 2020 and will continue until the position is filled; full consideration is assured for applications received by February 28, 2020. Subject to budgetary approval, this position will commence on July 1, 2020. Salary levels will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
