Le DOCM est la principale épreuve de qualification pour l’Olympiade mathématique du Canada (OMC). Les élèves qui se classent le mieux au DOCM sont ensuite invités à l’OMC. Ceux qui se classent tout près des élèves automatiquement invités ont droit à une deuxième chance, appelée le « Repêchage », de se faire inviter à l’OMC. Cette année, il fallait obtenir au moins 64/80 pour être invité à l’OMC, et au moins 57.5/80 pour recevoir une invitation au Repêchage.

Aucun prix n’est accordé dans les catégories ci-dessous si le taux de participation est très faible ou si les résultats sont inférieurs à 36.5/80.
