High achievement on the COMC is the primary way top student mathematicians earn invitations to higher levels of competition.
While the COMC is open to any student who is interested in mathematics, the Sun Life Financial Canadian Math Olympiad (CMO) and its Qualifying Repêchage (CMOQR) are invitational. They are intended only for top student mathematicians who are interested in possibly representing Canada at the 2014 International Math Olympiad (IMO) in South Africa as Math Team Canada, should they be chosen. Therefore, they must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada, regardless of where they currently live.

This year, the following students have scored 60/80 or more on the COMC and have thereby earned invitations to the CMO, which will be held on April 2nd, 2014.

CMO Qualifying Repêchage Invitations
The following students scored between 53/80 and 59/80 on the COMC. These students have earned invitations to compete in the Repêchage competition, which will be held by email in early February. The top (approx.) 10-15 students in the Repêchage will also earn invitations to compete in the CMO in April.
