The Canadian Mathematical Society and Cambridge University Press announce partnership

OTTAWA, ON -- The Canadian Mathematical Society and Cambridge University Press are pleased to announce the formation of a new publishing partnership beginning in January 2019. The Society's journals, the Canadian Journal of Mathematics and the Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, will join Cambridge’s leading Mathematics publishing programme.

The Canadian Journal of Mathematics is a flagship publication of the Canadian Mathematical Society, publishing original, peer-reviewed research of the highest standard in six annual issues since 1949. The Canadian Mathematical Bulletin publishes original research of the highest standard following rigorous academic peer review, in four annual issues since 1958. The G. de B. Robinson Award was inaugurated 1994 to recognize the publication of excellent papers in the Canadian Journal of Mathematics and the Canadian Mathematical Bulletin.

Speaking of the new partnership:

Dr. Mark Lewis (President, Canadian Mathematical Society) stated that:

“The CMS is delighted to establish a partnership with Cambridge University Press (CUP) for the publishing of the Canadian Journal of Mathematics and the Canadian Mathematical Bulletin. Cambridge University Press will bring new expertise and added international exposure to both of the Society's high quality and recognized mathematics journals. The Society anticipates a long and productive partnership between the CMS and CUP.”

Ella Colvin, Director of Publishing, Academic for Cambridge University Press, said:

“We are delighted to partner with the Canadian Mathematical Society to publish its two journals. As a highly respected and globally renowned publisher in mathematics, Cambridge is particularly well placed to support the Society’s key strategic aims to drive international visibility and the impact of its journals. We look forward to providing a context in which the Society will benefit from our full journals publishing service, as well as working with the editorial team to ensure the journals thrive.”
