Canadian Mathematical Society added to the new Combined Membership List

The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) and the American Mathematical Society (AMS) are very pleased to announce that CMS members will be included in the 2003-2004 edition of the annual Combined Membership List. The addition of the CMS brings the number of professional societies in the directory to six--the AMS, the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC), the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM), the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM)--and the total number of individuals listed to over 55,000.

The Combined Membership List (CML) is an alphabetical list of all individual members in the six organizations. For each member, the CML provides an address, title, department, institution, telephone number (if available), and electronic address (if indicated), and also indicates membership in the six participating societies. In addition, the CML lists academic, institutional, and corporate members of the six participating societies, providing addresses and telephone numbers of mathematical sciences departments. The CML has long been valued as a reference for keeping in touch with colleagues and for making connections in the mathematical sciences community. Now the directory includes CMS members.

The CMS will continue to provide a CMS Members Directory and on-line availability through the CMS web site (www.cms.math.ca/members).

The CML--a joint project of the AMS, MAA and SIAM--is available in print and is searchable online at www.ams.org/cml.
