The cohomogeneity one Einstein equations |
In Riemannian geometry, an Einstein metric is a positive definite metric whose Ricci tensor is proportional to the metric. A compact Lie group of isometries of some metric is said to act with cohomogeneity one if the generic orbits of the action are hypersurfaces. In this talk we will discuss some properties of the Einstein equation for metrics of cohomogeneity one as well as some examples.
