University of Winnipeg — Mathematics Position
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Winnipeg invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Mathematics at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and have demonstrated the ability to perform independent research of high quality. The effective date of appointment will be July 1, 2011, or as soon afterward as possible.
An applicant's research should connect with interests of Department members, which cluster in discrete mathematics (networks, graph theory, designs, enumeration, combinatorics on words) but also include algebra and analysis. In addition, current Department adjuncts are modeling infectious diseases and studying small world networks. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or be near completion.
