The Mathematics Department at the University of British Columbia is seeking outstanding candidates for at least one position, subject to funding, at the tenure-track Assistant Professor level, with a starting date of July 1, 2011. Exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor or Full Professor level may be considered. Postdoctoral experience is normally expected and a PhD is required. In any event, exceptional candidates in any area of mathematics may be considered. Joint positions with other departments may also be possible.
The successful applicant is expected to work in an area of interest to current faculty, to interact with related groups in the Department and to have demonstrated interest and ability in teaching. The salary will be commensurate with experience and research record.
