The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Brunswick invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position effective July 1, 2009. Candidates with PhDs in mathematics or in a related discipline with research interests in applied math, modeling and computation will be given priority for the position. Outstanding candidates in other branches of mathematics will also be considered. Applicants should have expertise that could enable them to collaborate in research with at least one current member of the department. Candidates should have a strong record in research and a commitment to excellence in teaching.

Applications are to include cover letter, full curriculum vitae, and statement regarding teaching interests, philosophy, and objectives. Additionally, the application is to include, as arranged by the applicant, letters of reference submitted by three or more referees, (including referee's telephone and fax numbers, and email addresses).
