About the Position:
The School of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications from qualified candidates for a preliminary tenure-track appointment in pure mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2020.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong externally-funded research program in an area of pure mathematics, supervise students, as well as develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in pure mathematics.

Qualifications:
The position requires a PhD, completed by the start date of the appointment. The candidate must exhibit strong potential for innovative and scholarly research in an area of pure mathematics, and have demonstrated teaching excellence. Although applicants from any area of pure mathematics are invited to apply, preference will be given to candidates that are able to interact with one or more of the School's research groups.
