Postdoctoral Position in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Lethbridge invites applications from outstanding young researchers in Mathematics working on active research areas in the Department for a postdoctoral fellowship for the year 2017-2018. The research strengths of the Department include Analysis, Combinatorics, Lie Groups, and Number Theory. The fellowship is provided by PIMS (Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences) and the Faculty of Arts and Science of the University of Lethbridge. The successful candidate will teach an equivalent of two courses in the academic year 2017-2018. The fellowship amounts to a total of $40,000.

Interested applicants must have a recent PhD received or expected between August 31, 2014 and August 31, 2017. The fellowship is for the period September 1, 2017, to August 31, 2018, and is renewable for at most one additional year.

A complete application will include a cover letter, a CV, a list of publications, and a research statement. The applicants also should arrange for three letters of recommendations to be sent. Application materials should be sent to math@uleth.ca (with the Subject line: Postdoctoral Fellowship).

The review of applications will begin on May 15, 2017 and continue until the position is filled.
