About the position:
The School of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications from
qualified candidates for a contractually limited two-year term faculty
position at the rank of Assistant Professor in pure mathematics with
specialization in analysis, starting July 1, 2017.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in mathematics and a strong commitment to
excellence in research and teaching. The School is particularly interested
in an individual who is active in an area of modern functional analysis or
abstract harmonic analysis, with connections to quantum physics and
applications such as quantum information theory and quantum computing, and
who can interact/collaborate with members of the pure analysis
group. However, the primary and fundamental criterion will be excellence
and strength in pure analysis, and a strong commitment to excellence in
teaching.
