The Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Arts and Science of the University of Toronto invites applications for a three-year limited term Coxeter Assistant Professorship. The expected start date of the appointments is July 1, 2015.

The University of Toronto is an international leader in mathematics research and education. The successful candidate for this position will be an active member of the Graduate Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto.

We seek candidates with a recent Ph.D. who are pursuing independent innovative research at the highest international level, who would complement our existing strengths at the University of Toronto, and who have a strong commitment to teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with research expertise in geometry, including Riemannian geometry, symplectic geometry, Finsler geometry, integral geometry, and convex geometry.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in mathematics by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter, must demonstrate excellence in research, and must show evidence of strength in teaching. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
