The University of Calgary invites applications for a number of tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, beginning July 1, 2000.
The Department is particularly searching for individuals whose research expertise complements programs in Discrete Mathematics, Actuarial Science/Financial Mathmematics, Modern PDE's and Dynamical Systems, Applied/Bio Statistics and Algebra. Applicants interested in the computational aspects of these areas are especially sought. Outstanding applicants from other areas in Mathematics or Statistics will be considered. The successful applicants will have access to the Multimedia Advanced Computation Infrastructure (MACI), a collaborative initiative establishing a new, world-class scientific computing facility in Canada.
