The Department of Mathematics & Statistics in the College of Arts and Science at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a tenure-track position in Statistics at the Assistant Professor level effective July 1, 2007.

The department is seeking candidates who have outstanding records of research in Genetic or Spatial Statistics (including specializations such as genomics, micro-array analysis, genetic epidemiology, pedigree analysis, image analysis, spatial processes, and morphometrics). Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Statistics and demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in teaching mathematical and applied statistics courses at all levels. Accreditation by a national statistical organization will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally-funded research program and to supervise graduate students.
