The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a probationary (tenure track) position in Mathematics, to begin 1 July 2007, subject to budgetary approval. An appointment beyond the Assistant Professor rank (possibly with tenure) may also be considered. Candidates in any area of Mathematics are encouraged to apply.
A Ph.D. at or near completion is required. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue a productive research program and to teach a variety of Mathematics and Statistics courses at the undergraduate level. The typical teaching load is four courses per year. Supervision of graduate students at both the Master's and Ph.D. level is possible.
New Faculty are eligible for university funding in support of research and scholarly activities.
