The School of Mathematics and Statistics wishes to nominate a candidate for an NSERC University Faculty Award in the Fall 1999 competition. The University Faculty Award was created by NSERC to encourage Canadian universities to appoint very promising female researchers to tenure-track positions in science and engineering. Further information on the program can be found at the following web page: http://www.nserc.ca/ The nominee must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. Requirements for our nominee include a Ph.D. in mathematics or statistics and a research record of outstanding promise. She must have a strong interest in and aptitude for teaching undergraduate and graduate students and supervising their research. The starting date for the appointment is July 1, 2000.
