The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton campus) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position, effective July 1, 2007. Outstanding candidates with PhDs in operator algebra, or in mathematical modelling and computation, including mathematical biology, will be given priority for the position. Applications from outstanding candidates in other branches of mathematics will also be considered. Applicants should have expertise that could enable them to collaborate in research with at least one current member of the department. Candidates should have a strong record in research and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
