Tenure Track Position in Control Theory
The Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Waterloo, invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of
control theory, to begin on or after July 1, 2005. The position is at
the Assistant Professor level and salary will be commensurate with
experience and research record (in exceptional cases, an appointment
at a higher level may be possible). Candidates should show evidence
of potential for outstanding research, should have a strong
mathematical background and an active interest in applications of
their discipline in science or engineering. We are looking for
applicants with enthusiasm for teaching at both the undergraduate and
graduate level. Applicants should send a curriculum vitae (including
a statement of research interests and teaching philosophy) and the
names and addresses of at least three referees to

The Department of Applied Mathematics, together with the Departments of Combinatorics & Optimization, Pure Mathematics, Statistics & Actuarial Science and the School of Computer Science, form the Faculty of Mathematics, which is a major centre for research in the mathematical sciences. There are also close collaborations with the Faculties of Engineering and Science in the University.
