The University of Toronto in Mississauga invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in the Department of Statistics, beginning July 1,2002. This is a faculty appointment in the teaching stream. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate courses in Statistics, counsel students, and share administrative tasks with the other members of the department. There is opportunity for providing statistical consulting to cognate disciplines and for undertaking a research program in teaching and learning statistics.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Statistics or relevant training in another discipline, and demonstrated excellence in teaching a variety of applied and theoretical Statistics courses at the University level. Consulting experience and interest/experience in collaborative research with non-statisticians is desirable. In exceptional cases candidates with an M.Sc. degree in Statistics will be considered.
