Position of Research Assistant /Postdoctoral Fellow Applied Statistics

The Applied Statistics (Hydrology and Water Resources) Research Group at the University of Moncton invites applications for the immediate position of research assistant or postdoctoral investigator. The position is to be awarded initially for a period of 12 months and is renewable for a further period depending on the progress of the individual and the availability of funds. Preference is given to Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Candidates for the postdoctoral position must hold or be about to receive a doctoral degree. (For doctoral students, all degree requirements must be completed before taking up the position). The candidate for the position of research assistant should be capable of providing good research support in the area of statistical hydrology (should hold a bachelor's degree in statistics or a closely related field, and should have successfully finished at least five university-level courses in statistics). The postdoctoral investigator should be capable of carrying out research in statistical hydrology or in the more general area of applied statistics.
