The Department of Applied Mathematics at The University of Western Ontario invites applications for up to two, tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor Level.

The Department seeks applicants with an established record of computationally intensive research in at least one of materials physics, financial mathematics, mathematical biology, or numerical solutions of applied partial differential equations. The position requires teaching in the graduate and undergraduate program and establishing an independent research program including the supervision of and securing funds for graduate students.

At least one of the successful applicants will be appointed as a "SHARCNET (tm) Research Chair". SHARCNET (tm) is a $43 million, multi-institutional, high-performance computing initiative in southwestern Ontario, with a head office and major computing infrastructure housed within the Department of Applied Mathematics.
